Both of these games are incredibly violent. However, GTA3 doesn't give you an option to make killing everything appear even more gruesome without probable cause. Plus, GTA3 doesn't let you kick a peasant in the groin, shoot him in the eyes, then kill his wife and kids, then wipe out the entire town just for giggles.
