Madden 2003 is a much better overall game than 05. While 05 may have upgraded some areas, they degraded others. The running game is incredibly difficult, even on pro. Although there are speed ratings for players, it doesn't matter which running back you have... they will be caught by a safety or corner back almost every time. In 03, the running game has more opportunity for breakout runs and exciting gameplay. Wide receivers don't know how to catch either. The CBs and FSs will break up a good majority of the passes. The game isn't awful. It's still fun, but 03's better. Besides, 03 has a better playlist than 05!
