However, I think I could always go back and replay FF7 and enjoy it. There are so many different aspects of that game. MGS is an awesome action game, but doesn't have that replay value and complexity that FF7 has.
Sorry MGS, you're awesome, but just not as awesome as FF7.

CC... moreCrisis Core didn't even come close to anything that FF7 had. It was kinda cool to see the FF7 characters in a different context, but that was pretty much the coolest part of FF7:CC.
CC has a different battle system than FF7. In FF7, you could wait and choose what you wanted to do without being attacked. In CC, it's all in realtime, so you have to choose your action quickly so you don't get beaten to death while trying to figure out what to do. Only problem is that CC does it totally wrong. You only control Zack the entire game, so I fought every single battle the exact same way. I don't think I ever even used an offensive spelling like fire the entire game. There also was never a point where I had to come up with a plan to beat a huge boss. In FF7, some of those bosses you really had to get leveled up and equipped properly to even come close to beating them.
I can't even remember any cool parts of CC. Not like FF7 where I can say "oo, that part with the marching" or "the air duct thing". Best I can do for CC is "o, that part when i did 100 squats" or "that part where i fought 250 of the same enemy to get a potion" or something.last activity: 11/25/2008 2:11 pm 8

Its plot, cutscenes, and graphics all stood out as amazing. And they certainly were impressive. However, FFVI had better characters, better gameplay, and an epic plot that saw the end of the world and lived through it. And no amount of Cloud's morose dialogue can beat that.

However, FFVII just can not compare to the action of MGS. One cannot deny that FFVII did stir up emotions. Many times has FFVII caused anger and frustration every time two steps was taken to reveal a flash and yet another annoying random battle.
However, MGS was able to provide a sense of suspense and anticipation, while still maintaining feelings of sorrow, hatred, and accomplishment.
