all games are not created equal

Just gotta give it to the classic on this one.  Area 51 did have better graphics, but it just had no charm.  It was a soulless game, whereas Duck Hunt, albeit simple, is still enjoyable to play. 

Area 51 was a good game when it came out, but eventually better games came out and you quickly forgot about it.  When you look back, the way the aliens exploded in Area 51 was just kinda silly with that blood splat and bones thing, wasn't it?

For some reason, it seems that almost any movie theater, Chucky Cheese, or bowling alley has Area 51 somewhere in their game room.  Maybe the cabinet is pretty cheap and no one actually enjoys the game? 

Duck Hunt is a game that the whole family gathered around for.  Taking turns, shooting ducks, it was a blast.  The experience is even better if you have a second player take the controller and actually control the duck, trying to dodge your shots by hiding behind trees and bushes.  And while everyone hates that dog, I think he's amazing.
