all games are not created equal

both games can tend to be a little tedious, but boom blox can be really really tedious. you can be doing so well in boom blox and then pull the wrong block and everything falls. and some of the puzzles are annoyingly difficult.

pikmin 2 was tedious, but at least you felt like you really had complete control with what was going on.  and also, overall, i just found it more fun to play.  sure, there were time when you accidently let all your blue pikmin catch on fire or something, but hey, you just gotta be careful =)

It seems silly that the free "game" that came with the system would be better than a game that you buy, but it is.  Wii Sports has many different games to play and because of how simple they are all, almost anyone can play it.  With Wii Sports, you can hand your grandmother the controller and she will be bowling in no time.  Or playing golf.

Boom Blox is still fun, but there is a learning curve, especially to those who never play video games.  Pulling out blocks can take some getting used to because of how awkward it can be to pull a block out at a specific angle in 3D space using only left, right, up and down movements with your hand cursor.
