COD4 is realistic, which is pretty sweet, but I really enjoy how crazy and totally off the wall TF2 can get. It's that next step of frenzied multiplayer that I feel COD4 doesn't quite do as well.
TF2 also fits my style of gameplay a little better, which involves constant head-on firefights. Also great about TF2 is that it really forces teamwork. In COD4, you wander around with a group of your teammates, but most the time, that's about it. In TF2, theres constant teamwork, the most obvious happening between the heavies and the medics.
Both great, but TF2 rocks my face.

Considering what they do for their genres, MM2 was a great action platformer and did many things right. TF2 is a fantastic multiplayer game with many different ways to play it. But in the end, I have more of an urge to start playing TF2 due to how dynamic everything is as opposed to opening up an emulator and playing MM2.last activity: 12/21/2008 9:12 am

Both games are a ton of fun when you're playing them. Team Fortress 2 has an advantage because, since its multiplayer, you can play it endlessly and always enjoy it. Fallout 3 does have a much more limited play time. The big difference though is the memories of my experience playing these games.
TF2 gives you memorable moments like "that one time I rocket jumped and did that thing" or "when i set up that thing over the thing and that guy thinged". But with Fallout 3, I remember stuff like "I hate those stupid kids that call me mungo" and "I wish I blew up megaton so that stupid guy next to the bomb would shut up". The entire game was a unique experience that left me with vivid memories, which I think is pretty rare with games now.
I remember feeling a certain way when I had to make certain decisions in Fallout 3. Now that there is a lot of DLC coming out for Fallout 3, your experience doesn't have to end when the game ends. TF2 is still an awesome game, but everyone seriously owes it to themselves to play Fallout 3 if you haven't already.last activity: 5/17/2009 7:05 pm

Good Things
L4D:
+Mayhem
+Teamwork
+Spookiness
TF2:
+Strategy
+Many maps & replay value
+Comedy!
Bad Things
L4D:
- Short game
- Limited space for exploring. Same old same old.
TF2:
- Complicated.
- The best of plans can be foiled by the most clueless of noobs.
L4D is a great deal of fun when you've got three buddies and you're all screeching and going nuts. However, this does not occur too often! The majority of the time, you're with a handful of boring suits! What are they even doing playing this game?
TF2 can have a bit of that chaos, but that isn't why it's good. There isn't much in Left 4 Dead that's more satisfying than getting the entire team to work together in a coordinated attack on that last control point. If you've ever played pl_dynamite and been the scout who runs the Death Star trench to get the cart to the end while the battle rages on the sides, you probably know what I mean.
So yeah. I prefer Team Fortress.CaptainJusticeCaptainJustice Level 6last activity: 3/12/2009 8:03 pm

+ There's actually gameplay, rather than RUN SHOOT RUN SHOOT CAMP SNIPE RUN.
+ Classes actually play like different classes. it's entertaining to have different roles to play in a game.
+ It actually requires team cooperation. It's very fun to work together and set up defenses while planning attacks, rather than running around and capturing points (only to have the other team take the point back 2 seconds later) and shooting through walls.
That said (and with many unwritten reasons), Call of Duty 4 is still a very entertaining game. But COD4 just isn't THAT good of a multiplayer game. TF2 is.last activity: 2/27/2009 6:02 pm
