  • Diablo II is better than World of Warcraft
    Overall Comparison
    Unlike WoW, Diablo II is more darker and sinister in tone and more exciting in my opinion.

    Yes, WoW has the Blood Elves and the Dwarfs and The Shadowy Undead but Diablo II I found was more creative and more challenging.

    I understand that Diablo was more walking and going to find your targets, but WoW was very "walk-a-few-paces-kill-target-and-complete-quest" kind of deal. Diablo dealt with more bosses, even during the first few levels.

    All-in-all, I enjoy WoW, but still prefer Diablo II over it.

  • I did enjoy Diablo 2 moreso in a group setting.  It was fun without making me feel too nerdy.  However I will miss the dark gritty textures and lighting in Diablo 3.  I'm not going to make a fit about it like some Diablo fanatics are, cause I don't care THAT much, but I would like something that didn't look so WoW'ey.

  • I'll agree with Stone.  Fortunately, there are so many angered players that a "Real Diablo" lighting hack is probably just a matter of time.

    Anyway, I agree with GamerGirl.  On one hand, the Diablo series has much less replay value, but WoW has become too kitschy.  In my opinion, it's time for the next WoW to come along already.

  • Diablo 2 = Free Multiplayer.  Hats off to Diablo 2. WoW was fun but I am not sure it is for the casual gamer. You have to have a lot of time invested in WoW to really get the full experience.

    • Yea, I definitely agree with that one.  Even if you do get to the max level, you'll have to find a guild that does the big instance runs so you can experience some really cool sections of the game.  I've never gotten to that point though.

      Not yet at least..........
