  • Audiosurf is better than Guitar Hero III
    Overall Comparison
Auidosurf Is a game that a friend bought me through steam (an online gaming community which also sells games). I played the demo before hand and this game blew my mind. I Immediately loved how you could choose any song on your computer, and turn it into a "roller coaster" to ride on. You catch little colored squares (and sometimes dodge gray ones ... ninja mono has like a bagilion gray ones... ) match up together like a puzzle and earn points. Everything around you while running on the track goes with the beat and melody of the song your playing. And you can compete with other peoples scores online (for free I might add).

Guitar Hero 3....2... and 1.... Not as good. I mean it was challenging at times on some guitar solo's which made it fun like "through the fire and flames" or "one" on expert. but they didn't give you the option to choose songs off anything else but the setlist and bonus list. and there is really no challenge when it come to easy songs, just strum and move your fingers.

  • Audio surf was not that addicting, and a bit confusing at times...I thought it was fun that you could choose your own song, but sometimes when I played a song it didn't actually match up with the beat, it was half a count off or more, I played the 5 trial songs and that was more than enough for me. My controls never worked correctly, even if I was using the keyboard, it would try to follow the mouse, and when i switched to the mouse it wouldn't move...it was Troublesome.

Guitar hero canon was great, I could pick it up right now and still have tons of fun, its more simplistic, but  it offers a good variety of songs, and you could choose your own music, but only for the 360 and ps3 editions, where online was avalable, most of the time you had to download a set of songs, but even the selection was amazing (i.e. Halo guitar remix, Top Gun theme) cover bands that are new to the music world, and more... It still offers great fun, and I have the game for ps2, which means I can't download my own music, but that doesn't bother me

  • Buck for buck, Audiosurf is much better.  Since money isn't a factor in ratings, I think Guitar Hero 3 beats it.

  • As much as I like guitar hero, I was much more impressed what a small independant developer was able to create with Audiosurf.  However I don't think that Audiosurf matches the notes too well, but rather just the beat of the song.  Of course, I try playing death metal and such so I can understand if it's difficult.

Also, being colorblind, the only mode I ever play on is Ninja Mono, otherwise it's near impossible for me.

  • I really have no idea which one to vote for.

...But I got bored of GH3 really fast.

    (Rock Band FTW!)
