Trine 
World of Goo Gameplay Comparison both games the goal is simple. get form point a to piont b. but in world of goo getting to point a to point b is the main and only objective most the time.
In Trine you play as 3 different characters, all characters having different abilities to help you get past certain obstacles.
You have the wizard. who can move things around and create crates to help you reach higher places
you have the Thief, who can swing on a grappling hook helping you make far jumps, and she has a bow so you can shoot monsters at long range.
You have the Knight. Who has a sword so he can be used in close quarters and he can break things to get them out of your way.
The unique thing about Trine is that you can loose one character, thus making it impossible to use that character until you get to an orb to revive that character. making you think of other methods to get around certain obstacles
Trine has longer levels and for me the game is more enjoyable because it has a nice fantasy storyline. but I'm not comparing on story-lines. I'm comparing game play.
