  • What if, sega got themselves back on the console market with their own new console. what would it be called? would sonic only be playable on the new sega consoles? would the company be able to make a profit and stay in the race with Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony?

Of course you'd also have to have the support of the companies that make video games for mainstream consoles, like EA or Infinity ward, maybe even valve.

  • Today I found myself heading up to Springfield to get myself a costume for Halloween and to brows around for other things while I was there.

First of all I'mma get the video game aspect of this out of the way. While I was in the city towards the north of me (Springfield) I went into Altec computers and my mom put a frikkin awesome PC case on lay away for me. let me see if i can find a picture.... well i cant find a picture so I'll just take a picture when i get it around Christmas.

Anyway now onto the rest. I got my costume and everything and then I head over to barns and nobles. I go inside. look around. get to the humor section. look down towards the middle of the isle. and low and be hold I see a book I thought I'd never see ever "A Dose of Awkward (Left-handed Toons (by right-handed people)) " by Justin and Drew. There was no way I was about to pass up buying it.

I know the last thing isn't really video game related but I Just thought id share that with you all and Justin

Ads cost money, I'd say donations but that probably wouldn't help.

I've told everyone I know about this place. but apparently they just don't feel like joining. or ignore me.

  • Hey all, time for me to come back out of the hole I dug and sat comfortably in for a while.

The other day i was reading Joystiq and noticed that the price of MW2 had gone up 10$ for the pc making it 60$ at the store i pre-ordered it from (game stop). now this threw me for a loop, I never expected pc games to follow in the path of its console bretheren and in my opinion it shouldnt. I dont know anybody that absolutly wants to pay 60$ dollars for a game anyway.

One other question. what makes Modern Warfare so great that the price has to be jacked up? ( I had already pre-ordered this game with 10$ before the pirce announcement and expected to only have to pay 40$ when i got to gamestop)

second thing id like to talk about is more on the happy side, a trialer for guild wars 2. :D

Guild wars was a good game. To hear that guild wars 2 is getting closer and closer to completion is just a whole load of anticipation. i predict that it will be released around march next year... or may...

  • Ghost busters the video game looks pretty cool... for every system ASIDE from the ps2.

In my opinion the developers of Ghost busters the video game should have kept the ps2 game similar looking to the ps3 and other system versions. not make a kiddy cartoony looking version.

I know that the graphics are next gen and all for the ps3 and so on but they could have just toned things down on the ps2 verison. not change it completely.

  • So when I heard DnD online would be going free i immediately signed up for the closed beta. AND NOW I'M ACCEPTED :D.

Ive never played this game but I have a vague memory of a friend playing it and it being decent. but that's just a vague memory.

  • neurotechnology ... a word that isn't in my windows dictionary for some ungodly reason.

anyway, neurotechnology is becoming very popular. The main breakthrough in neurotech that id like to address is the device that can read your brainwaves and transfer them into on-screen action. for example:

think a word, that word is typed, NO FINGERS :D

Anyway, scientist have even used this technology to tweet on twitter. so waht im wondering is... when will the first neurotech game come out and will it be so "real" that people would become over addicted? ( like worse than wow addiction ).  In my opinion if they were to make a neurotech game I'd have it set up to where the game shuts down after 2 hours of game-play.

and there might be other safety concerns.

what are your opinions on the possibility of a neurotech game?

  • I just saw Trine, the game looks pretty cool its a side scroller, puzzle solving, rpg.

I'm installing the demo so i should be able to get some kind of review up. match it up against world of goo in puzzleocity... if that's a word.

  • I was just about to start writing a game comparison on kingdom hearts vs. fallout 3 with the intention of stating that im comparing them storyline wise... now... to me. comparing only ONE aspect of a game to that same ONE aspect of another is not really too terribly fair.

Kingdom hearts 2 IMO is a MUCH better game than Fallout 3 ( for some reason I cant really get into Fallout 3 that well ). I mean Fallout 3 is a good game. but storyline wise kingdom hearts 2 is better. But since fallout 3 and kingdom hearts 2 aren't anywhere near similar much less the same genre, the comparison would be pointless.

So here's my question. would it be better. to compare two very similar games ( fps on fps, fantasy on fantasy ) or compare games like ( rts on fps, modern on fantasy )?

there's a lot to compare in similar games. making decisions hard. but a lot of the decision making has to do with how good the game was which has to do with how good the storyline was.

so compare games via storyline. or compare games via little things? both or what? which one would attract more attention?

heck I'm enjoying world of goo demo more than fallout 3.

  • square enix will be releasing a new game

    any ideas?

  • Should I Pre-order Modern Warfare 2?

I was watching a interview with the people who made the game and they had a lot of video clips of the game.

It seems like a good enough game to put on pre-order... but I don't know.
  • Monday, June 8, 2009
  • I was watching E3 and noticed this.

For one I'm actually quite excited. Even though the game is for the DS.

I've been a fan of kingdom hearts ever since the first game, but my memories are vague because I played it on and off for it was long and i kept renting it instead of buying it.

The second game has to be one of my favorite games actually, I loved it. played it and played it and played it. got most of the secrets unlocked, if not all.

I think the real reason i like Kingdom hearts so much is the story.

to me KH is one of the best put together video games you could have. and with this little addition you play as Roxas as you uncover his days with the organization.

seems like a nice touch. though I didn't care much for Roxas's role in the beginning of the second game. i do care for him now, because he became a great part of the game.

    Music's good :D

Anybody else have this problem?

  • Fallen Earth is a future, sci-fi based mmo. your on earth of course and you start out in the hoover dam on a mission to get the friggin heck out of there.

... well actually you start out in a cloning facility IN the hoover dam. also the character customization needs... a lot of work...

The games OKAY. I guess I still like my MMO's to be the specified genre of fantasy.

I will say this though, Fallen Earth does have humor. The cut screen between the hoover dam and actually playing the game with other people is a bit funny.

Another thing that i wanted to address is the conversion between third and first person. This feature was cool. It helps when shooting a gun.

  • so i saved up some money and i bought myself a new monitor, NOW I HAVE DUAL SCREEN! -snicker-

    i love computers...

anyway. this is pretty sool, the color on this DVI acer is pretty sweet. alot more vivid and bright than my old monitor. but i still use it. right now i have two full screen web browsers up :D

  • so HUZZAH, i bought left 4 dead, discounted for 40% off on steam, 23.99

this game won my heart, i love it. though ive only experienced single player I'm certain that all the other parts of the game will be epic in themselves.

and lol, i still have my mom's visa card, what else can i buy?
  • Monday, April 27, 2009
  • so yeah, i must be lucky this year or something, i just got closed beta access to Fallen Earth. A highly anticipated MMO that apparently is supposed to be a lot like fallout. ... i should be playing it in 12 hours... ( that's how long the estimated time for the download says its gunna take )
  • Sunday, April 26, 2009
  • so yeah, this is a game that i've never heard of before. doesnt look like a total loss of a game. anybody have anything nice to say about it?
  • Monday, April 20, 2009
  • so yeah, i just read on g4tv.com that bethesedra is making ANOTHER fallout game set to release next year. fallout new Vegas. though I have never even played one fallout game, I'm still psych'd.

  • Hey, has anybody else found mmorpg's boring unless your playing with a friend? if not boring they die out faster.

I've realized that the more friends I have that I've known for a while that actually play that mmo, then I get stuck on the game longer, if I only have a few friends that aren't very dedicated to the game, then I start to loose my patience with the game faster which usually leads to me quitting the mmo or just not playing it for quite a while to where i need to try to remember what the heck I needed to do.
  • Tuesday, April 14, 2009
  • Bah! i hate the fact that i cannot judge or comment on the recent game comparisons due to the fact that i havent played a single one of them. ( nor even heard of some). This fact being said makes me sad. i wish to play all the games ever made ( except E.T. ... well maybe for the lolz ). It also makes me feel a tad young in the gaming world. as though my knowledge over the video game world isn't great enough. This makes me feel as though i neglect certain games! ever since i got here the list of games i should play has grown from a mesily 10 to a nice long list of well over 50 :(

But this is a good thing. because now i know the game is out there and its only a matter of time ( probably 5 years from now ) until i get my hands on it.

I am, though, running out of games for myself to compare.

  • Tuesday, March 31, 2009
  • You know, Ive been thinking, and you have single player modes, and multiplayer modes. and then you have the games like wow that only have multiplayer modes on this giant map where you can go everywhere and do anything.

I think they should make a game to where your the character (so first person is a must ) and put you in  a somewhat modern do anything go anywhere situation. but have it be MMO. so you can interact with EVERYTHING and EVERYONE around you. and the NPC's would have such a good AI that they would attack on sight. instead of you running up to them and attacking just to train, you would have to be on-guard all the time. 24/7. not to mention you'd have to keep track of ammo and supplies if your going into the possibility of "unexplored territory"

no I'm not thinking mmorpg, I'm thinking kind of along the lines of a first person shooter mmo but have it with a single player storyline and millions of side missions that never end. It'd be an entire world on your monitor with endless possibilities!

want to steal a car and drive from one city to the next with 5 irl friends while shooting up some people invading your turf?! go for it!

want to live in the country and have the possibility of starving to death? GO FOR IT

want to visit a remote location with a massive merderous organization? foiling their plans while burning buildings to the ground? i say heck yeah!

more imporantly i like this mmo idea because you can do it with your friends.  <also please note that all these ideas are on a virtual basis and probably shouldnt be tried irl> < except for the the farming and starving> <you can do that...>

  • Acclaim ( the makers of two moons) just gave me access to the closed beta of their newest coming game. The chronicles of Spellborn. i feel important :D, I'm also glad. because ill get to compare the game first... FIRST I TELL YOU FIRST :D MWHAHAHHAHA!

edit: "The first group of players that will have access to the Closed Beta are handpicked from the Acclaim Voon chats, David Perry's twitter and Historian's beta tester list. This first group of players has been limited to 200-500 players to allow game testing" -- mmorpg.org . wow im 1 / 500 luckily hand picked. i best not be complaining about game size

Update:  I just got the game downloaded and installed... but the servers are down and they had already had a server crash. and everyone is having login problems ( before the servers went down ).

but what i can tell you guys is that the login screen just makes the game FEEL epic already.

  • alrighty. yeah i have an issue going on. everytime i solve one problem with my computer, another arises. just yesterday, i was playing call of duty 4. and right in the middle  of a game my pc shuts down. well this did tick me off. i opened up the tower and put my hand on the side of the graphics card. i QUICKLY withdrew my hand because the card had burnt me. yes.. burnt me... anyway.

this arises my first question: if the motherboard isnt grounded properly? will it cause thigns to burn up?.

after letting everything cool down, i tried starting the pc back up again. it started... but made none of the beeps it used to. and the led lights that are usualy green were all red.

question 2: what would cause this?

after a while of being frustrated. i took out my graphics card. and turnd my pc back on. "what?" the pc turns on "you gotta be kidding me?"

question 3: is my motherboard messed up? or is it just my graphics card?

i go in search of an old... dare i say it... Radeon card that was bought for me at a time. i battled wasps to get it too... anyway. i put it in the first pci-e slot. did the same thing as the other video card did. "frikkin-a!" i then put it in the second pci-e slot. HAHA my computer starts up... with a few problems. it had to run a mandatory check on my C drive. my computer wouldnt load the OS. after troubleshooting on my moms pc. i fixed that problem. but now.  this arises the question:

why isnt the card working in the first pci-e slot? but is working fine in the second one? wich still leaves the question. is it my graphics card... or is it my motherboard?....

update: alright. well... i guess i dont need you guy's help anymore, i figure out whats wrong. but... feel free to laugh at me :D

  • just to let all know, i kinda feel really bad about that incident. so i deleted the comparison.

    1. it was a really cruddily written comparison.

    2. the way i acted towards Fuit1ty's first comment was very rude of me and i am sorry about that...all i can really think of is that i helped this website lose a member...

  • Ive been wanting to play this game recently so i bought it at BestBuy the other day. 39.98... wasn't to bad. anyway I LOVE THIS GAME NOW. Its practically everything i want in a racing game. The added free roam was defiantly a good decision by Criterion and EA. and there are so many different race types and events. you can own streets too... paradise city online is also fun. thought i keep getting disconnected. its fun to compete against other racers on a free-roam match stacking up as much points in anything as you can.
  • Monday, March 9, 2009
  • I have a need to review this game. because you cannot tell me its not fun and be telling the truth.

Nintendo character vs. Nintendo character. nothing could be better. one of the things that make this game most interesting would be the loads of unlock-able content. The day I unlocked all the content and beat all of it was a glorious one, classic with every character, Adventure with every character, and All-star mode (after you unlock Mr. Game and Watch) with every character.

I probably should go back and beat all the modes with every character on the hardest setting with only one life? that'd be an accomplishment, but would also be annoyingly hard.

I remember one event match that me and a friend tried so hard to beat. the next morning after i woke up i was half asleep and beat it. i cant remember which one it was. but it was the ugleh looking bowser. if any of you know what I mean

    I give this game 10/10

i probably should include more in this review. but ill think of the rest later.

  • i just noticed a problem with my facebook app. and i thought posting this would be helpful. i just wrote a comparison on F.E.A.R 2 and F.E.A.R., when i went to check my facebook it DID update. but on the side that said F.E.A.R it put the F.E.A.R.2 box art, and on the other side it did the same thing.. but reversed.
  • Saturday, February 14, 2009
  • so yeah. i just got F.E.A.R.2 and its great, my first new new game in a while. though I haven't gotten to play it yet. reason for this is because for some reason they didn't bother to put an installer on the disk. and i have to download the game through steam. its taking forever. Im at 16% and its been 3 hours.

  • I finaly got all my computer parts and i peiced her back together. Its better than i ever would have imagined. the Geforce 9800 gt ecuiped with a tri-core processor ( 3x cpu's ), 2 gigs of ram, all on top of a Nvidia Nforce 750a motherboard ( mainboard ).

... for some reason my graphics card came with a Farcry 2.... it didnt say in the list of items when i bought it off of tigerdirect... :\ OH WELL. i like the game anyway :D.

all my games are working excelent on all high settings. better than i would have ever wished for.

oh and on top of it alllll... my cell phone got ran over by a car :D

    from popular demand:

On the return home from school. My cellphone managed to drop out of my pocket... i didn't see it nor feel it fall. I was in a hurry to get home and get to see my new pc parts. so when i finally got home i was wondering where my phone was. i then retraced my steps all around the house. couldn't find it. then i went outside and looked around where i had walked. still couldnt find it. then i walked down our road ( tis a private road, only one other person lives on it and its only a mile long and its a dirt road ). i got towards the end and found it on the ground. i remember 2 cars passing by. so then i was worried. i picked it up. and it no longer worked. the screen is smashed
  • Wednesday, February 11, 2009
  • hey, i just noticed. i wrote a game comparison.... but it never found its. way to the top of the front page? do justifications not go on the front page?
  • Tuesday, February 10, 2009
  • so... this is awesome. not to mention everything worked out in my favor. so let me tell you all a little story:

My first mouse had died completely a couple months back. and since my moms computer was shot she let me use her mouse. ( her mouse was also wireless but so was her keyboard and i didnt need the keyboard ). so i just grabbed the mouse and the wireless connection equipment.

Used that for a while everything was great. Well my mom just got her new computer. my dad bought it from this guy he works with in iraq. ( my dad's a contractor in iraq. basicaly fixes air-conditioning units at military outposts). Anyway. this computer came with only a mouse, no keyboard. the mouse being a G7 logitech Gaming mouse. well my mom needed her keyboard. but in order to use it. she needed the wireless unit that i had for the mouse i was using. ( her old one ). so i had to give the mouse back. leaving me without a mouse. until i obtained the G7 Gaiming mouse by logitech. so... this week is great. i got a 79.99 dollar mouse... for free... its a frikkin awsome mouse too.

Logitech ftw. ( specialy if its free right? )
  • I just realized its going to be a reallllllly friggin long time before i get the "no sir" achievement. Everyone here compares games that they know would get them a thumbs up ( at least I know I try to write comparisons that way ). I rarely come across a review thats thumbs down for me. : .... and its also prolly cuz I'm such an agreeable person.
  • Sunday, February 8, 2009
  • I've heard people talk about it and how frikkin intense the graphics are. but is the story even that great? I've heard people say the story line sucks. I wont want to buy a game like that. so ... anybody know what the deal is?

    how great IS the storyline?

  • This is the first time I've ever played final fantasy, I just got through saving the princess and so far I love this game. Its perfect so far, and the fighting is more interesting than some modern day games. so that's a plus.

Imma continue on the storyline. Hopefully it'll get better and better.

Update: The only thing I'm not liking so far is when you assign more than one character to a monster, one character kills off that monster, well even though that monster is dead, the other 2 characters will still attack it. resulting in a waste of time, and possibly mp.

Update: Jebus! game is long... not to mention challenging. it's 2:45... I'm calling it a night. I'm in Elfland.... saving the prince... but I cant seem to get past marsh cave or whatever that's called. well... with a little more training im sure I'll be on my way to the next area.

  • So yesterday I went and picked up an application for Gamestop. I thought it would be a fun place to work at. selling games, gettin paid... minimum wadge.... for like 3 hours a day... after school.... though I dunno which day to take off Saturday or Sunday... probably should do sunday.

I filled out the application didnt take to long the only thing that got me stumped was "game software knowledge"... threw me off. Also turns out you only need to be 16 to work there. I'm 17 so that should go better. Hopefully I'll get a call soon.

Well while I was their I pre-ordered me a copy of F.E.A.R. 2 hopefully this game will live up to the hype of the first one.

  • First off Half-life 2 episode 1 keeps on getting better and better, Epicness in a CD I tell you! This game has some... intriguing "almost" horrifying parts. Dark corners and zombies make it a little horrific. Tis a little challenging for me to play though, because I had to downgrade my graphics card. oh well. Getting a whole new system upgrade soon anyway.

Which brings me to our next subject of this blog

For Christmas one of my gifts was a new Terabyte hard drive. OVERPOWERING JOY!

I is a giant step up from the current one I have ( 160 gigs ). But... I'm going to need to buy a new operating system, reason: because 1. the current XP disk i have is ... gone? cant find it. 2. i bought the UPGRADE for vista. so all that does it upgrade from xp.

so my question here is the ultimate one... buy XP... or buy Vista....?

( either that or is there a way to transfer data from one hard drive to the other? Like take everything off of this one and put it on the other one ?

I'm still learning a few hardware basics )

Didn't take long to start and finish this, guess I was focused. Well enjoy that!!!

On another note tomorrow is Christmas eve and I get to open.... -drum roll- .....

ONE gift. ( Please note that I am NOT saying that Christmas is just for the presents ) Should be exciting enough since I don't get to choose the gift.

Well Merry Christmas to all my friends on myfellowgamers.com ( which is like... what 5?... hi... ), and Merry Christmas to whoever is reading this.

also... I'm not the most original man on earth... >.>

  • This game, to be honest, Made me scream like a little girl... yeah.. laugh all you want. but the day you climb down a ladder in a dark hall and see a little girl standing behind you. Don't come crying to me.

I'm Glad F.E.A.R. 2 comes out in February, imma play it. And i hope it lives up to the horror factor that the first game gave me. Even if you weren't dealing with the paranormal of F.E.A.R. you were dealing with clones and MECHs coming out from no where scaring the bajesus out of you. not to mention he game was hard, specially that point where you had to battle 2 MECHS at once. it wasn't pleasant.

(Zelda 2: The Adventures of Link)

Talk about a blast from the past. I completely had forgotten about  the name of the game, but yet this is the very first Zelda game I've ever played in my life. i cant remember how old i was, but i do know that it was the second game i played aside from super Mario bros.

AND WOW! here's the very first megaman game I ever played :D I loved that game!
  • It's Christmas break for me, and this gives me time to finish some games I've been wanting to.

Like Guild wars, Fable, Command and Conquer 3, and Half life 2 Ep 1 and 2.

Guild Wars: ( the regular game with the eye of the north expansion) I'm not sure how far into the storyline I am, but I do hope to get it finished before the week is up

Fable: I'm just a little bit past the part where you fight at the guild and I'm certain that i have a very long way to go.

Command and Conquer 3: I've barley have gotten started, my computer doesn't seem to like the movie cut scenes, the video is always NOT in sync with the audio.

Half life 2 Ep 1 and 2: I'm only on the first episode and I just got out of an underground system and am back on the surface.

  • Whoa!? What's this!? Multiple home pages? I didn't know you could do that with Firefox. ( Guess I should read things more carefully )

WHOA!? WHATS THIS!? Internet Explorer 1-7 have a major problem that enables any hacker to put code on any webpage to get personal information!?

Microsoft's response was something a tad unexpected, they DON'T want people to switch and they DON'T recommend it. Though they're working on something to fix this, It doesn't seem as though they're in any condition to nor should be "begging" people to stay on with their browser as long as it has THIS major problem.

( hmm well that was fast, apparently they fixed the problem )

Firefox apparently is safe. Will this knock IE to second place?

Another booboo on Microsoft's part is letting information get out on the fact that they knew about the early xbox 360's cd scratching problem. BEFORE it was ever shipped.

Maybe they wont mess up the lawsuit?

  • I'm not sure I'm grasping the concept of this website very well, ... may I just review and compare any 2 games I please whenever I feel as though I should?

I've had a lot of games in mind lately to compare and contrast but I don't wanna seem like a hog :\

Maybe I should think about the 2 games that I am comparing even more so I write a good review?

lol I'm new at this :(
  • Hey I'm Jonathan , but everyone calls me Gene.

I'm more of a PC gamer than anything else, Consoles don't seem very convenient when it comes to a 2 in one deal of "HEY INTERNET INFORMATION aaaaaaaaand?! GAMES!?"

At the moment I play Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty 2.

Once I get my new motherboard in January I'll be playing CoD 4 and other games of the higher sys standers ( lol Crysis )

This website is awesome and very original. :D
