this arises my first question: if the motherboard isnt grounded properly? will it cause thigns to burn up?.
after letting everything cool down, i tried starting the pc back up again. it started... but made none of the beeps it used to. and the led lights that are usualy green were all red.
question 2: what would cause this?
after a while of being frustrated. i took out my graphics card. and turnd my pc back on. "what?" the pc turns on "you gotta be kidding me?"
question 3: is my motherboard messed up? or is it just my graphics card?
i go in search of an old... dare i say it... Radeon card that was bought for me at a time. i battled wasps to get it too... anyway. i put it in the first pci-e slot. did the same thing as the other video card did. "frikkin-a!" i then put it in the second pci-e slot. HAHA my computer starts up... with a few problems. it had to run a mandatory check on my C drive. my computer wouldnt load the OS. after troubleshooting on my moms pc. i fixed that problem. but now. this arises the question:
why isnt the card working in the first pci-e slot? but is working fine in the second one? wich still leaves the question. is it my graphics card... or is it my motherboard?....
update: alright. well... i guess i dont need you guy's help anymore, i figure out whats wrong. but... feel free to laugh at me :D
anyone here computer literate?
alrighty. yeah i have an issue going on. everytime i solve one problem with my computer, another arises. just yesterday, i was playing call of duty 4. and right in the middle of a game my pc shuts down. well this did tick me off. i opened up the tower and put my hand on the side of the graphics card. i QUICKLY withdrew my hand because the card had burnt me. yes.. burnt me... anyway.this arises my first question: if the motherboard isnt grounded properly? will it cause thigns to burn up?.
