System Shock 2
Bioshock Overall Comparison It's clear to see that Bioshock inherited nearly every single one of its qualities from System Shock 2: the atmosphere, the plot devices, the survival gameplay. Even the presence of wrench feels me-too-ish. Unfortunately System Shock 2 did everything better, while the only thing Bioshock improved on were the graphics and system requirements.

Bioshock was nice, but it seemed to be too focussed on touting the new DirectX 10 and simultaneously trying to define revolutionary game qualities. I feel like it only managed to do the first and graphics are never good enough to make a dissapointing game great. I haven't managed to play System Shock 2 yet, but if it's anything like the original, it'll blow Bioshock out of the water.
It is better than the first in so many ways. Seriously, there are moments in the game that'll just make you jump and some really memorable characters.
I remember when System Shock 2 came out. It was a great game, but I swear nobody had heard of it or played it at the time. I often found it in the bargin bin at video game stores, which is really sad because it was such a great game. Bioshock is just the rehash of System Shock 2. Still great, but I always give all the credit to the game that started it: System Shock 2.
ahh, disagree, unfortuntely. For one good reason, Will you kindly?
