all games are not created equal

I'm tempted to call Brawl the winner based on the presence of Snake alone, but I'm better than that (slightly)
Mario Kart Wii was a fun enough game, sure.  Fun for parties and is more friendly to the non-gamer crowd. 
However, this site isn't called "MyFellowNon-Gamers" now, is it?
Nope, I enjoy Smash Bros much much more.  Who isn't tickled by Link, Bowser, Mario, Snake and Sonic all going at each others throats for no real apparent reason?  The gameplay is good, items are fun and really help change the pace of the game, and the amount of unlockables is incredible.

Mario Kart Wii did good by including updated versions of tracks from the older games, even going back as far as SNES (though those levels are pretty boring, really).  There is also a great cast of characters as well, but it doesn't even compare to the cameos in Brawl.  The inclusion of bikes is interesting, but ultimately doesn't really feel too different than the karts.

Sure, Brawl didn't do much more that Melee didn't, but MKW didn't do much different either.
