All you do is load a 2GB or less MicroSD card with the kernal files from the website, then you can load any homebrew DS ROMs you want, basically. There's some awesome homebrew out there, including a port of the Tower Defense game from Warcraft, a DS version of Amplitude, and best of all, I'm freakin playing DOOM on my DS! And it even uses the bottom screen to constantly display your map! THATS AWESOME!
I won't deny that this thing may have some *ahem* OTHER uses, but I'm really enjoying my purchase so far.
i got this thing online for 20 bucks, shipping included. i don't want to advertise some other site, but it does sell GAMEs and stuff. the place may be next to a BAY, but i dunno. i think i see a DOT on my keyboard, but COMe on, who knows for real.
R4DS is awesome
Ok, I just bought an R4 loader for my DS, and I LOVE it. I was surprised at how cheap this thing was, and how simple it was to use. I've used a flash cart on my GBA before and got some fun out if it, but this is rediculously easy to use on DS.All you do is load a 2GB or less MicroSD card with the kernal files from the website, then you can load any homebrew DS ROMs you want, basically.
