Pokemon Blue is better because you can catch a Weedle. Weedle is way better than Caterpie for a multitude of reasons (all of them based on phalluses).
Also Pokemon Blue has a Blastoise on the cartridge - Blastoise is a giant turtle with machine guns sticking out of its shell. This is, of course, bad-ass. Charizard is just a freakin' Dragon. Dragons are all over the place.
I can show you like nine lame fantasy books with Dragons on them. i defy you to find a lame fantasy book with a Turtle-Monster with shell cannons on the cover.

It was great - it did great things.
I mean, given, Super Smash Bros. Melee was an excellent game. Not counting a few hiccups, the balancing was pretty solid (Unless you were a pro, then it's FOX FOX FOX), and the gameplay was revolutionary. The advent of pressing a single button to use a special technique was utterly mystifying after I was so illusioned by Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter - and it works flawlessly. The game is utterly accessible, with absolutely no daunting factors. Everyone can jump in at any time - it's a rare experience where one can play the same game on VS. for hours, all the while knowing there's no reward in-game - it's just a ton of fun. Really hearkens back to the days of good competitive multiplayer for multplayers sake.

And as I am essentially a microcosm for all people in the world, given that my views, and choices in how I spend my time, are entirely unbiased, this means that the allocation of my time is a scientific decree as to which of two things is preferable.
