Does anyone know where I can still get a nes/snes? I've always wanted one, but I got into gaming when I was like 4, a year or so too late to actually get one (and I opted for the Genesis). I have an inherent mistrust for people on E bay, so if there was like an actual store that sold them that anyone knew of, that would be cool.

Well, there is always the option of just playing older games on an emulator on your computer. But as for getting the actual original console, the only option i know of is Ebay. You might be able to find an ebay store that specializes in old consoles and that might be a good way to go. They usually have a good number of prior transactions.
Try calling up a bunch of pre-owned gaming shops. It wouldn't hurt to try the pre-owned music shops in your area as well. 90% of them won't have anything, but there's a shop in town here that has a bunch of used games, and at least one of every system since NES. The NES and SNES are running about $40. That may seem steep, but the going price for them was about $30 5 years ago, so it'll only be going up.
Also, don't ever rule out local pawn shops. Here in Springfield, MO, we have a couple Vintage Stock locations, which is a cool trade shop for games, comics, cards, etc. They always seem to have stuff like that. Where's your area?
Memphis TN, I'm sure there are pawn shops around here...but memphis is either the first or second largest violent crime capitol in the world. Pawn shops just seem like a bad idea around here. Vintage stores on the other hand I'm not sure about, I'll have to check that out because I collect vinyl also.
