  • Counter-Strike Source is better than Fallout 3
    Overall Comparison
    Counter-Strike Source is a game that's become synonymous with online PC gaming.  It's physics and graphic engine is based off the Half Life 2 engine, making it a huge improvement from the original Counter-Strike.  As a first person shooter, it's still one of the best and has a huge following.  This may be a lot different from Fallout 3, but it sure deserves to be considered up there for one of the best games of all time...

  • For me, the main thing that kills CS:S for me is it's community.  I'm not just talking about hackers and stuff, but there's just so much dorky mods and levels out there that I can't get a grip on.  I mean, surfing?  Why am I surfing in CS?
    Fallout 3 is an amazing title and in many ways deserves to be game of the year.  There's just so much to do and the characters all seem so believable... well, as believable as people can seem in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

    • That same argument can be used for why CS:S is so great.  Why am I surfing in CS?  Because I can!

    • There's no way I'd ever play CS. The community would make me want to stab people through the internet.

    • Yes Fallout has some believable characters and there might be "so much" to do, but it is all spread so far away and the subway station is just plain annoying. Can no one actually draw a map? The random amount of ammo in desks is useful but why did someone stick random amounts of ammo in places. Some of the CS mods are actually pretty fun, like the gun games were you have to make a kills with a certain guns and then it levels to the next gun. But if you don't like the mods, you do have to play them. There are enough people playing the original to make up for that.
