  • GoldenEye 007 is better than Starfox 64
    Overall Comparison
I'm sure everyone remembers playing Starfox at your gradeschool sleepovers ... all the fond memories of trying to beat those mission timings to get that tank mode, running person mode, and just blowing each other up in the normal flight modes ... aaaaaah goooood times!  Heck, this was one of the 1st real co-op games for the Nintendo 64.

Now think long and hard.  How'd that compare to the awesomeness that is known as Goldeneye.  Yet again a favorite at those gradeshcool sleepovers, you could roam around as that short stumpy Oddjob, shoot with 2 guns at once, had the ever annoying proximity mines, and a multitude of other weapons bliss.

This is a close one, but I've gotta say that I think GoldenEye is better than Starfox.  Both were fun, but at the end of the day ... nothing quite beats the feel of blowing up your enemies with a big ol' rocket launcher or getting that 1-shot-1-kill golden gun :)

  • I had the choice between a PSX and the N64 back in the day and I chose the PSX.  I was pretty happy with my decision, until Goldeneye came out.

I wanted an N64 so bad after that, but I never got one.  So instead, I just befriended people who owned Goldeneye and played it at their houses.  Some people had an N64 and Starfox, but that wasn't enough to win me over.

    That's why Goldeneye is better.

  • I have to think in terms of which one I'd rather go back and play.  I think Starfox has aged more gracefully than Goldeneye.  Goldeneye was great, but I don't remember Goldeneye creating any memes.
