Offering my assistance!!!

I can't help but notice that, because the site is new...so I don't blame anyone. There is a serious lack of listed games when you start a comparison.... I also like to point out that on most of the games actually on the site, some of them are missing platforms, and If I remember correctly...Some are wrong.

So my offer is this, if there is anyway I can add games, platforms and cover art without starting comparisons...I'd be more than happy to help, just tell me how I can, and I will put game after game, saving some other users the trouble of putting in their on games, and risking some of the things above...and also worried about box art...

  • I've added a few games to the list by going into start a comparison and clicking on new game. but not actually starting the comparison. Ive also made sure that all the consoles were right via Wikipedia. but I'm not sure that Wikipedia can be correct all the time.

I was also going to mention that having a way to edit the supported consoles. because of what you mentioned about the fact that all some games don't have all the supported consoles/systems/platforms listed.

  • Also, there's a problem when listing games on multi-platforms.  For example, Strider on the NES is going to be a LOT different than Strider on the Genesis, so how do you determine if a game is different enough to warrant it's own row in the list?

  • Yea, I gotta tweak the game admin stuff.  I have a page that I use for the cover art, but I still gotta do work to make it usable by people that wanna help.  Once I get back from my little trip, I'm gonna start working on all the new todos on my list =)

I really hate to betray MK like this, but I had to go with Street Fighter. The first few Mortal Kombat games didn't need 'depth' per se , it was meant just to be a fighting game, so all it really needed was arcade mode. Don't get me wrong I really do love story lines and story modes, I tend to get involved with the characters, its how I work, but at that time I really felt like MK didn't need one.

Street Fighter was a great game, it posessed SOME SORT of story mode, even though really it was just characters talking their way into a fight... but that doesn't matter.

The greater difference is it wasn't EASY..in the first few MK games all you really had to do was click 1 button and the other person wouldn't get a chance! Though the fatalities were EXTREMELY hard to figure out on your own, I suppose that was the attempted balance.

WIth Street Fighter however, you really did require more than a little luck, it required a general since of skill, I mean...you could still haduken your way to victory, but the other person still had a chance.

I never thought I'd say this but what the pokemon games DIDN'T need was better graphics, that took away the authentic feel of the game, not to mention they need to stop making new pokemon.. I mean...how can you 'catch 'em all' if they keep making more...And the new pokemon names are generic, unoriginal, and lazy..I mean..Half of the time it looks like they put two descriptive words together...
I feel pretty passionate about this one...because being a little kid when pokemon came out gave me a strong since of pride for the orginials and the game...So maybe I'm biased..but I truely believe the orginals were 10 fold the new ones..(Pretty much past johto) were bad (Though, being as hypocritical as I am..I'm playing Pokemon Diamond currently..just because DS doesn't read past advance..and I want to play a pokemon game..so I'm not TOO picky right now :D)

Bioshock was truly one of the most epic survival games I've played, everything about it screamed different, the depth of the storyline, and the setting, an underwater utopia set in the 50's,c'mon, who thinks of that? The random mini-games (for hacking and such) really kept you entertained as well , the game play, giving you a series of physical enhancements, despite the fact that fire and electricity are common, really had different ideas as well, and, though this isn't as innovative, I loved how your choice to save or kill the little sisters affected the end.

F.E.A.R was just another attempted pop up scare in my opinion, giving pretty gruesome depections to try to envoke fear, when in reality the game wasn't near as worth the hype of how scary it was. I love gruesome, but I don't like how it tried to use that as really the only scare tactic in the game. In my opinion the storyline was a bit etchy to follow as well, and not nearly as entrancing enviroment wise as Bioshock, it all felt like most shooters, through warehouses and things like that. The game play was pretty bland, not really appealing to anything different than normal shooter games.

Even though Bioshock is a single player game, and I couldn't see it as anything else, could play it over and over, for hours on end.

Call of Duty 4 was the first game that Infinity ward had published since selling it to Treyarch for CoD3, and I have to say, they did a great job at the come back, not only did the break the expectations of war games to be about World War 2, they broke the bounds that Treyarch had done with Call of Duty 1-3 and World at War.
The game play on both is very similar, but what really catches my eye about CoD4 is the modern day setting, not to mention it was the first of the series to be rated M finally having enough captivation and realism to deserve that title. I also like the maps and online multiplayer.
Call of Duty 4 began many things, such as the shooting through walls, and the perks and leveling system.
However, don't get me wrong, World at War is fun, especially the added feature of blowing people apart and getting to see it happen, certainly making it more graphic.
