  • The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is better than Far Cry 2
    Overall Comparison
    The reason I chose Oblivion over Far Cry 2 is for Oblivion's ability to better submerse you in the world it presents.  Although Far Cry is also extremely fun, it was more repetative than Oblivion, and its conclusion was somewhat lacking.  Both games are unique and have interesting attributes but Oblivion offers far more than Far Cry 2.

  • I really haven't played enough of Far Cry 2 to make a good call on this one, but I will say that Oblivion seemed in depth.  I could play (and probably did) Oblivion for several hours at a time and not even realize it.  Far Cry never really sucked me in at all.

  • My only REAL gripe with Farcry was that EVERYONE wanted me dead all the time. No down time, got no down time.

  • Unlike Derw, I love going in and having bullets wizzing by me all the time.  The battles felt intense, like when I'm just driving along and suddenly I get rammed by a jeep behind me.  It's awesome.
