  • Wanted: Weapons of Fate is better than Hitman: Blood Money
    Overall Comparison
The big reason that I like Wanted more is because of how impatient I am.  Hitman seems like it could be a good game for the right person, and that person definitely is not me.  I don't have the patience to carefully watch all the people around me and figure out who can go where and how I could kill the people without being suspicious.  What usually ends up happening is me trying to be careful, they see me being suspicious, then I shoot them in the face a bunch of times.  Cue tons of other people running to figure out what all the rucus was about.

Wanted was a very short and flawed game, but I still found it enjoyable.  It was mindless shooting, but it was right up my alley.  No need to scope out patrol patterns, just shoot 'em and move on.

  • @commandant, @cisle, how did you guys deal with the high level of patience Hitman requires?  Do you like games like Thief and other stealth games?

I should have known ever since the first demo came out.  All I did was walk up to the guy in the middle of the street when he was on the way to the restaurant and shoot him in the face a couple times and call it quits =P

    • I agree with Commandant. There is just something about killing a couple guards, taking a uniform and taking out a person without anyone being able to do anything about it. I felt that Wanted at least in the demo was not assassination just a fps. Assassinations take time and research. Even in the movie they plan the attacks. Wanted was just oh look I need to kill that guy attack!; where as an assassination is I need to kill that guy... a little bit of work.... oh god who killed that guy?

  • How I dealt? I have a much longer attention span then that of a young child, and am also very patient. (No offense intended, of course =b).

But seriously, I enjoy planning and strategy (although I do love running into rooms guns blazing too) such as in games like Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Metal Gear Solid and Assassin's Creed. I find it quite satisfying to sneak around and assassinate someone with none the wiser, but also to prepare a grand scheme in a RTS, and to see all the pieces fall into place.

In my opinion, almost all games require planning and strategy to be good at them.

  • Going through and killing the vice president at the whitehouse is nothing short of awesome.  Just coming up with these clever plans to reach your target really gets me giddy.  For example, at the whitehouse, you want your pistols, but you go through a metal detector.  What to do?  Oh!  I'll hide them in another lady's bag, and then when she gets caught and questioned, I'll sneak in and take them back!

Plus, Hitman is more realistic (in the realms of games that is).  Yeah he can soak up damage, but everything seems like it could be a probable way to murder someone.  Me?  I like pushing people down the stairs.
