-What percentage of the comparisons you rate do you actually read?
-Do you rate comparisons of 2 games you haven't played?
-How often do you leave a comparison unrated because you can't decide?
For myself, I probably read 80% of the articles I rate. I feel like it's actually a high percentage given the amount of reading it entails. The remaining 20% usually comes from comparisons like FF7 vs. <Wrestling Game>. I have no interest in Wrestling and know FF7 will auto-win if I played, so I rate and move on.
On the other hand, if I have no experience with either game, I leave it alone. I'll sometimes read the article, but I don't feel that I should vote.
So, what say you, my fellow gamers?
Do you read every comparison?
I just logged in and went through the new list, read a bunch of the comparisons and rated all of the ones I felt I had an actual opinion on. So I was wondering:-What percentage of the comparisons you rate do you actually read?

I only rate comparisons of games that I have played so that I'm not just assuming things with my agreement or disagreement. I also make sure to read the points that are made in the comparison so that I can try and see it the way the writer sees it.
I'm usually never undecided on comparisons excluding ones of games I haven't played.
One thing this site has made me do is want to play Dead Space because of the several positive comparisons people have made on the site =)
I think reading comparisons for games I haven't played is pretty useful though. It helps me decide which games to play next and, in some cases, which games to leave un-played.
i read them all before comparing. the ones that look interesting anyway. and i only read them if I've played the two games.

no, if I haven't played the game then i would probably just make myself look a fool by rating it.

I've done that once or twice. some are very hard to say which ones better than the other. but others like for example:" CoD 2 vs. ET for the atari ". yeah. that gets way to easy... also i hope no one ever uses E.T. for a comparison... :\
