Left 4 Dead 2 Announced at E3
And the gamers revolt. Left 4 Dead (L4D) fans are up in arms this week over Valve's announcement at E3 for a sequel to be released this November. There isn't much left to say without simply regurgitating the issues the L4D community has with this news, so I'll just post a link at the end. To summarize, the fans already felt cheated out of much-promised updates and are now facing the prospect of paying $50 for a sequel within a year of the original release. And to top it off, the L4D2 looks no better than what they expected from the undelivered updates.http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=885287

However, when I heard this news, I felt excited and giddy and nothing more. It wasn't til I heard everyone's reactions that I was like "Hmm, maybe it IS a little cheap."
I think people would feel differently if not for the fact that Valve seems to show so so much love for Team Fortress 2, with a constant update of maps, items, achievements, etc etc. L4D hasn't had such updates. There's the survival pack update which adds one map, one gameplay mode, and expanded VS mode to be playable on all the campaigns (which was kinda cheap that it wasn't that way to begin with).
