I am very bummed. As I'm sure many of you know; the Starcraft II beta was has begun. I, yet again was not selected. I guess I will just have to wait until the actual release. I feel like this game is taking so long to come out that I'm slowly losing faith in it.
I started playing SC1 again last year getting ready for SC2. But with all the push backs, I finished SC1 well before release. I just hope that it can live up to all the hype. I thought warcraft III let me down; I'll be very bummed is SC2 does the same. - Thursday, February 5, 2009

I was a huge fan of Fallout 2 but I have yet to pick up a copy of Fallout 3. I was wondering if some of you out there could compare the two? Is 3 significantly better than 2? Feel free to ignore this post and just compare, or you can just post here and let me know. Much appreciated, thanks.

I am thinking of getting Spore for PC. Currently my gaming is isolated to Viva Pinata and Call of Duty 4. Yes, I know, what a combination, but I enjoy going back and forth between the two. While I have been unable to break my addiction to COD4 online, I have significantly cut back on the hours I play.
I have been reading a little bit about Spore and was wondering what everyone thought. I used to go to gamespot to get reviews of games but they are just so unreliable anymore. So if a couple of you could tell me what you think of Spore I'd much appreciate it.
Thanks!

Over the holiday break I visited my niece and nephew in Michigan. For Christmas they received a Nintendo Wii and it was the first time I got to really experience what the wii could offer. It was at this time that I decided that I would get a Wii for myself.
In late december I headed back to the DC area (home) and began to look for a Wii. I visited every best buy, gamestop, and target within 20 miles and was unsuccessful at locating this glorious piece of hardware. Moreover, no one knew when they're inventory would be restocked. After days of searching both the internet and retail stores, I found a Toys 'r us associate who knew when the Wii would be restocked.
I got to the Toys 'r us roughly 36 minutes prior to opening and was the 23rd person in line. They only had 15 Wii's... Now for those of you who think that 36 minutes was not enough, remember this is not an after launch console, nor is it at a ridiculously low price. This is just a freaking system that has been on the market for over 12 months.
Needless to say, I am frustrated and confused. The manufactures (Nintendo) must know that the demand remains high, and yet production has not been pushed. I watch wiitracker religously to see how quickly they sell. I refused to buy used (I'm just that guy) and I refuse to purchase a bundle of crap I don't want. So I execute the only option I have...waiting. - Thursday, November 20, 2008

There are some really cool features with the new dashboard. Streaming Netflix videos directly to the Xbox is an amazing feature. Having an avatar is entertaining as well. But what confuses me is why they went from having a really navigable setup to what they have now. I appreciated the simplicity of the old dashboard. With the old dashboard you could see all of your options simply by using the left and right trigger. Nothing was hidden beyond that. Now I have to scroll to what I think may be the right selection and then flip through the pages to see if I was right. I’m sure that I will get used to it, but my question is why it needed to change so drastically in the first place? It seems to me that they could have kept the same simplicity while adding all of the other features. If there were a way to hid some of the options, I’d be a lot happier. But now there is just so much stuff that I don’t ever want to see.

Where have all the good RPG's gone?
I couldn't help but notice over this weekend that there is an RPG shortage. The gaming industry, much like the movie industry, has decided to focus on recycling rather than creating new and inovative products. We get things like Final Fantasy XXVII. Has there been a great RPG since VII? I am excluding MMO's as they are really a different genre as far as I am concerned.
So what is it? Is there not enough money in creating the RPG. Is it easier to focus on shallow games that satify only those with ADD? (I'm talking about all FPS's, and I know what you are saying: but Ryan you love FPS's...yep thats the ADD). Is the RPG simply dead?
My hope is that I am wrong but between a few good RPG's are a lot of crappy ones and I just don't see any great ones in the pipeline.
Thoughts?
